looking at buying the next step down from outlaws, i want a real good mud tire, but a somewhat smooth ride. would tri-claws be the best tire for the job?

Mudzillas and Tri-Claws are the two next two mud tires under Outlaws that are good. Mudzillas, if you can afford them then get those, but i'm not getting them just because of the price. I can't afford to pay $120-$130 a tire. Tri-Claw, from what I heard are awesome too. When I get my Foreman I will most likely buy 4 27x12-12 Tri-Claws. I was asking people last night about them and that is the tire that seemed to fit me the best according to their knowledge. I still got some other tires that are real close to taking over the position of the Tri-Claws, but so far not yet.
All in all, get Mudzillas if you can afford them and if not just get 4 27x12-12 Tri-Claws. JMO
Also GreenMachine check your PMs sending you one in just a second.

I would even look at the Outlaw MST, if they are available in your size. These tires do not have the really deep lugs like regular outlaws, thus, supposedly, give you a better trail ride.

gators suck... no offense but my friend had them on his polaris.. they sucked... so his dad got pissed and gave them away and got zillas.... they are expensive but they rule... he rides wheelies out of mud holes now... and has never had to use 4x4 except when he tried to go through a sand pit... they suck in sand...
