Always clean your wheels prior to washing your paint, and make sure the wheels are cool before applying any wheel cleaner. Do one wheel at a time and never allow the product to dry on the wheel. If wheels are severely dirty, use a 3"-wide paintbrush to agitate the surface of the wheel. Take time to wax your wheels. This will not only increase the shine and gloss of your wheels, but will make cleaning them much easier in the future.

Along the same lines, if you use a cleaner/degreaser on the tires, do this BEFORE the tire is wet. You will be amazed at the dirt and grime that comes off.
