Is there any reason it has to be a 1999? Threre wasn't enough difference to say so from 1998 to 2001.

In that case a 1995 to 2004 would look right, 400 or 450. The ES however was only available starting in 1998, and only on the 450 models.

You're doing the right thing, poking around just about everywhere. Sometimes you get lucky on the internet, and find something close enough to home that it's worth getting. Sometimes Ebay has one close enough to home that you can have a look before you place a bid. (I would not ever recommend or endorse purchasing an ATV on Ebay if I couldn't lay my hands on it first, it seems as many ATV auctions look fishy as not, and not every mal-intentioned person is foolish enough to make an auction look fishy). The best luck, at least around here, is in the newspaper classifieds, or other classified paper, as well as auto trading magazines, but if you're going to purchase any of those (many are free) be sure that it includes ATVs as not all do. Out of six ATV dealers within an hours drive from here, two would prefer to set their customers up with potential used ATV buyers than insult them with how little they can offer in trade and still cover the costs and the risks of dealing used ATV's. It may or may not be the case in your area.
