I took my new Foreman out for the first time this weekend. Man was it a blast. I ran the Foreman through some pretty tough mud and it had no problems at all. The power was just amazing to me. I think that I will be very happy with this machine. I had a little concern at the beginning though. I was backing out of the back of the truck and I forgot to turn the gas back on, it died on me about half way down the ramp and I couldn't start the enging because I couldn't get it to go into neutral. I'm assuming it was because of the extreme angle. Anyway, I had to pick up the back end and roll the Foreman down the ramp and onto the ground where it then went into neutral and started. Also it seemed a little hard to start after letting it set for quite a while after running. But overall, I was very pleased.

Good for you, just like I said before stop worrying and ride the thing.
So what if very few ES models have a problem when the control is SUBMERGED any quad will develop some kind of problem if you take them swimming too much.

Yes, I've added stick stoppers and a quad trunk. I'll probably get a winch soon but I'll have to save up a bit for that. I'm not sure about the lift kits and some other modifications on down the road.

weevil I've had my 450 for about 8 months and I love it. I have always had 2-wheel drives or motorcycles.

Good deal! I just turned over 100 miles on my new '04 Foreman. Mine was a little hard to start and once or twice it even quit while riding.I thought there might be something wrong but after talking to my mechanic and putting a little more time on the engine it always starts right up and has never stopped since. I am also VERY impressed with my Foreman. I swear if you got it started it would climb straight up a wall.

With my luck, it'd knock down the wall first.

"it even quit while riding.I thought there might be something wrong but after talking to my mechanic and putting a little more time on the engine it always starts right up and has never stopped since." I am really glad you posted that. The same happened to me. I got my '04 Foreman just over a month ago and once while hitting the high rpms I pinned the throttle and when I let off it started slowing down really slow and then cut off and stopped. I think it starved itself of gas because the needle was in the red. I set it to reserve and made it home, then switched it back to ON and rode for another few hours, but be sure you have a full tank of gas if you're going to hill climb beacuse sometimes it doesn't want to climb if your gas is low. Good luck everyone with the new Foremans!

Speaking of climbing things, I wish I had a pic of this. The first day I bought the foreman, I took it up in the woods to see how big of a tree I could run over. I hit this one tree and it would bend but wouldn't go over, so I backed up and hit it again. The machine walked right up the tree. I was looking straight up and thought it was going to go over backwards. I looked at my brother who was on the wolverine, he started laughing and said go for it, you're almost there. So I juiced it and down the tree came. They are tanks! You're going to love that machine!
