This is my first post at this site an i was wondering if anyone can help me out. I just got into riding 4 wheelers and got me a 03 450 foreman when i first started looking everyone told me get a 450 because they are unstoppable. After taking it out I have to say for being stock it realy holds it own. The only thing is i think i have loss some power I hear people talking about rejetting the carbs and clutch kits but not really sure what will help i am looking into getting some bigger tires maybe 27 if i don't have to lift it so any input from anyone would be a big help thanks

most 27's fit fine. I just got some Bi/Tri Claws and they fit fine but when riding double, they catch the black fender. rejeting helps alot. even more if you get an exhaust. What type of riding are you more into?? Welcome to the forum.

I like to do some trail riding and a good bit of mud riding thinking about getting either mudzillas or the claws just not sure yet. Are you able to ride a wheel on your foreman i can't get my front tires up for nothing. Another thing is how well does the front end come up when you ride in the water.

If you run a lot of air in the tires and sit back on it, when it gets deep the front comes up. yeah most 27's will fit. I got 27 outlaws and rode with them twice before i put my lift on, they fit but would scrub some, outlaws measure taller though.
For power, first get a good air filter, I have k&n. then if you do a lot of water riding go ahead and snorkle it. directions are on this site. That will increas your air flow even more. Then if you rejet it you will see some gains. I put a $20 tractor muffler on mine instead of $300 hmf and now I can pull the front tires off the ground a little but not a full out wheelie. I see pics of others doing it though. I don't know how. If you figure it out let me know. But with the set up I have I have no problem going anywhere, climing any hill, or spinning 27s in any mud.
And Welcome.

If you do trail ride and mud ride, get some kind of tire along the lines of ITP 589s. Outlaws and Zillas are excellent mud tires, but suck at trails. You need some kind of all around tire.

I putt ITP 589's on my 450 about 4 years ago and they are a great all around tire. after 4 years they still have plenty of tread left. Definitely a good tire.

rI think that claws are a pretty good multi-purpose tire. they ride smooth, good on trails, exellent in the mud. I told my brother today, that the claws and the foreman were just made for each other. it seems like the foreman is gear just perfect for the claws.
Muddn, what type of air filter do you have?? aint it a uni? and do you like it?

Yea, its a Uni. I like it fine, just havent got to ride but a few times since I installed it. Right now the Foreman is sitting on 2 flats and leaking rear axle seal, with no time in sight for me to make repairs...

I am happy with the mods I have in my sig. I got most of the mod suggestions off these forums. I like my mudlites personally, they are light and decent in the mud. My buddys 26" 589s seemed to turn harder than my mudlites and I can do just as good in the mud. With stock tires I can pull a wheelie from a dead stop in 2nd after my mods. Mud tires no such luck. You guys say you want to know how to do wheelies? Well shift up to third and down shift to 2nd and hold the shifter down rev her up and let up on the shifter, this pops it into gear and there is a good chance you will be on two wheels. This is not good on the trans, but riding in 4 ft of water isn't good for a quad either but we still do it. Look at my photobucket for pics of my muffler if you are interested. It is loud though.
