ok, we all know the foreman isnt a racing bike. its for grunt work and some fun trail riding... but just how much low end power does the foreman have? im talking stock, no jetting or anything... what bike would you say the foreman has as much if not more low end power than?

Actual hp of a stock foreman 450 is about 10.5. It has a very low first gear like a tractor though which gives it the ability to turn large tires. Not a racing bike as you stated.  |

10.5 sounds weak, cause its geard so low is i guess why it feels so powerful. its crazy how just 10.5 can feel like 30  |

As long as its better than the Rancher, which it is, thats all that really matters to me. Yeah, it does sound small, but its not!!

Same here!! I would challenge anyone to a tug of war. Rancher 4x4 or Foreman. If you want to race get a racing atv.

I raced the 250EX the other day Had him off the line, but he pulled away. Before I had the Titan's, I could beat him alltogether in about a 100yd race  |

Yeah, that super low first gear can move mountains. If you have bearclaws of something that really dig, you can pull ANYTHING. However, in a drag race, my Rubicon dusts the 450, and is a lot faster on the top end, as well.

Thats what I was wondering too. Also how does Polaris say they can pull so much, but when they do the belt slips. Ha!!

i think its for the most part honda just wants you to stay within "safe bounds" meaning it can pull much more than 850, but to keep it at a safe speed downhill and what... not to go over 850.

I have pulled a trailer 6x10 that is about 500lbs and had a good 800lbs of wood on it, my 450 pulled it well except down hill the trailer would push the rear end around, kinda dangerous but it did it more than once.
