I installed my OEM Honda brake light kit on my 2003 350es today. It took about 2 hours. It was fairly easy & the instructions are OK. The only thing I did not do as stated in the instructions was to remove the front bumper. I had enought room with it on the quad.
The switches are easy to install & the wireing is simple plug-in & go. Routing the wires properly takes a bit of time but is well worth it. While the brake cables & the reverse cable were detattached I took the oppertunity to lube them with my cable lubricator. It only takes 2 min.
The one thing I totaly hated was the kit adds a second light on the back attached to the rack. It looked like crap!!! I did not even bolt it on, I took the side cutters & choped the brake light off & threw it as far as I could. Then I removed the factory running light from the tool box under the rack, made a cut out where it was & installed a Grote tail light. I used the 12 LED one, with the rubber gromet. After installing the new LED unit I used windshield urathane to seal the rubber gromet (on the inside) to the tool box door. It is completely waterproof.
If anyone is thinking about installing one of these Honda kits, do it. It is not very hard to do.
