In the how to's I read were cory had installed "es" floorboards on his "s",what I would like to know is, if it was a straight r & r bolt on or did he or anyone else who has done this have to modify extensively. please give me details, I don't want to order all the parts & find out I have to chop & weld. I don't know anyone who has an "es" to even compare. every one I know is a die hard yamaha fan.I do like the cleaner look of the factory floorboards over the after market ones but I need some kind of foot protection from the stumps, stones & ice.

The ES has a different mount system than the S for the factory floorboard. The frame, believe it or not, is different on the S and it will not support the factory ES floorboard. A floorboard support bracket that goes directly below the plastic floorboard bolts directly to the frame on the ES. The frame on the S does not have this frame mount. The S frame supports footpegs. Check out the images on hondapartsworld.com or go to your dealer and have him pull up the schematics for you. Believe me I tried to get it to work. I have a 04 S and installed Moose brand steel floorboards and Love them. Better than the factory ES because they ofter more foot room and greater strength than the plastic fllorboard on the ES TEXT.

he is right with the frames being alittle different, the floorboard supports is the problem. The footpegs take most of the pressure and will mount up, but the front of the support u will have to fab a bracket to secure them solid. Sorry I didnt add more info when I posted.
