Well I did not do as good as I hoped to, but had a great time anyway........I won best 4x4 in the show, and tied for 4th over all. The mud pit was in a pond this year, with one shallow side and one deep side, I waded out in it and put some stakes and a flaged ribbon up to make it a (u) the shallow side was about 18" deep with red clay mud any where from 12" to 16'' deep, The deep side was just over my waist, I asked Bill Gates (man running the show) if he would cosider puttin another 3000 gal. of water in it .........he just kinda scrached his head ;D. The first mud pit comp, I dont beleave any 2 wheel drives made it out of the shallow side, and I ended up running over a pole and in to the deep side . In the 4x4 I was the first one to make it through but my time was slow, but if I remember correctly a foreman with vamps and a small snorkel may have had the best time in the 4x4 class? And from what I saw in this type of mud the vamps went better than HLs laws. The 2nd mud pit comp. they pumped the water down so the low side had very little water in it.........the 2 wheel drives (me to) all for the most part got stuck in about the same spot. When the 4x4s got to run we got to run through the deep side first, there were several that made it all the way around and several that did not, including me, there seemed to be a spot, that if ya could hit it you could just walk on through it. The River comp, was not as long as it could have been, not sure why? but it was a really good event!! It appeared they had cleaned any and most all logs outta of it, where we ran, it was at the deepest point above my waist and to my supprise a foreman 450 in my group (webrebel) won it and beet me by 2.5 sec. so I got second in the 4x4 snorkel class. and there were a few bigger 4wheelers in that class. So the FOREMANS are still holding there own some what I would have to say ;D. Later after the river comp I went on down stream with somebody taking afew pictures and shooting some video, I found 3 holes about chest deep and had a blast, the foreman never missed a beet . However when it came tug-of-war time........man-0-man a 425 polaris pulled me backwards from the start of the green light........Damint Boy and the next one I pulled aginst done the same thing.......at that point I told the feller hooking up the ropes backards is good I,m gettin used to it ;D. over all there were 5 riders in are group in the comps, Terry Hill won second over all and as a group I beleave we won 25 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. here is a link to some pictures, My foreman is red with twin snorkles and has small black box,s on the front.
