How hard is it to install a clutch kit on a Foreman 450?

I WAS WONDERING MYSELF , I JUST WENT TO MY LOCAL HONDA SHOP AND BOUGHT OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT O-RINGS & REPLACEMENT NUT TO DO CLUTCH KIT AND MAY BUY THE TOOLS TO REMOVE AND INSTALL PLATE.

JUST ORDERED CLUTCH SPRING KIT FROM EPI YESTERDAY AND ORDERING CLUTCH PULLER FROM MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER TODAY AFTER I GET OFF WORK .
I'LL LET EVERY ONE KNOW HOW IT GOES AS SOON AS THE PARTS COME IN .
IF ANYONE HAS ANY TIPS OR SUGGESTIONS FEEL FREE TO SEND THEM MY WAY.

How long to clutches last? And how many folks have worn them out more than once?

The one-way bearing usually goes first. The change clutch is second, and the centrufugal clutch (the one thath "should" wear out first" is usually the last to go. I've seen people tear up one or two of them in 800 miles. I've also seen a '98 with over 30K miles, one transmission overhaul and the second replacement top end, but the clutches were (according to the owner) all original, and I saw no reason to doubt it. These clutches are tough little critters. Oil type, and frequent oil changes are the biggest key to making them last. In addition, you should avoid "stupid stuff" like hole shots, "feathering" the change clutch, failing to use first (and sometimes second) gear to start from a stop, etc.
