Ethan,
I think you'll be very happy with the gear lube. I hope you have a pump to pump the gear lube into the differentials. Amsoil sells one, but IMO, it is a little pricey. I got a pump that was left over from boat that I use to pump the oil into the differentials. It would be nice to have a pump that fits right on the top of the gear lube bottle, but I could see shelling out the money for it right now.
I agree with you about the engine oil. I run the 10W40 in my foreman and VTX as opposed to the 0w40. It is your choice, but ,IMO, I believe you are making the right choice going with the 10w40. Make sure, when you order, to get the motorcycle oil.
As far as the grease goes, to get the waterproof grease from amsoil it only comes in cartridges, unless you buy it in a 30 or 100lbs keg. I don't think you'll be needing that much anytime soon The Bel-Ray grease you are talking about is a good grease. If you don't want to use the cartridges from amsoil, that would be a great choice.
Airfilter-- Just this past week I changed to the Amsoil powersport filter on my foreman that you are talking about. I still had the stock filter until now. It is without a doubt a better filter than stock. Amsoil also makes an awesome airfilter oil and airfilter cleaner which I recently used for the first time also. Good stuff. As far as comparing it to K+N. I know an aweful lot of people who run K+N and are very happy, as you are. My advice, If it ain't broke, don't fix it Amsoil makes and turns out very high quality products and doesn't use all the marketing that K+N does. They prefer word of mouth advertising. That doesn't mean that there aren't other quality products on the market. If the K+N is what you want, then by all means, stay with it.
Let me know if I can help you out in any other way.
Thanks,
TRHOD
