What all do I need to do after drowning my 2004 Foreman ES? The air box was full of water.
I already changed the oil, filter and cleaned the air filter.
What about the pull starter....is there a drain.
I out mudded a 700 Polaris and a 650 Kawasaki but peer pressure got the worst of me and I found out I was not invincible!

Pull starter, there is a weep hole, but it is probably clogged. You really need to get that sealed up either with a pull start leak shield or silicon the cover up REAL good. You also need to change the oil until it is not milky anymore, using cheap oil. Takes several changes to get it all out. Might even have to use diesel or other agent to get the water out of all the crevices.

This is a new procedure that my freind just tested on his wet kitty this weekend. The sea foam really seemed to pull out the moisture faster than consecutive oil changes or the diesel. So we did a little of both, diesel, sea foam, oil/seafoam. This is for a completly submerged quad, this may not be needed, only if you are unlucky (or drink too much) This procedure was done on a 2004 650 twin AC. (The 450 foreman made it).
Pull spark plugs hand crank untill most of water is out,Pour a a little sea foam down plug openings.
Spray Wd 40 or penetrating oil in cylinders through plug openings.
Drain oil and remove filterClean filter with sea foam until the sea foam comes out clean.
Reinstall drain plug and fill crankcase with diesel fuel and 1/8 can of sea foam to the top of the filler tube or until diesel is coming out of the oil filter opening.
Leave the filler tube open and hand pull (DO NOT USE THE ELECTRIC START). It may be hard to pull at first, but it will become easier as fuel leaves filler tube and filter opening. Agitate (this really works) the machine rocking it back and forth. The more you agitate it, the better. Hand pull 12-20 times.
Drain diesel, remove filter and hand pull 3-5 more times with the drain plug out.
Reinstall drain plug and replace filter (use a clean or new oil filter).Fill crankcase to the top, with diesel and 1/8 can of sea foam. Agitate the machine rocking it back and forth. Leave the filler cap off and hand crank 12-20 times.
Drain diesel and hand pull 3-5 more times with the drain plug out. Repeat step 8.and step 6.until diesel and sea foam comes out clean. (It took me 3 flushes).
Replace the oil filter with a new one. Reinstall drain plug. Fill the machine with oil and add 1/8 can of sea foam to oil.Replace spark plugs (as long as there is no water coming out of cylinders when hand cranking).
Start engine and let warm up.
Drain oil, remove filter, and repeat steps 13-14 until oil comes out clean.
Replace oil filter, reinstall drain plug and fill oil to specifications and drive machine. Check dipstick to see if the oil looks appropriate.
Note: Engine will smoke at first until the penetrating oil and sea foam has burned off and muffler moisture evaporates.
