I read some where in the BB forums about how a person had trouble troubleshooting his air cooling fan and cant remember where it was because i was to stupid to book mark it . if you know of it or another source of troubleshoot fans on foremans be much appreciated.
It goes into detail as what to look for and how to test each componet.
thanks

Run a wire from the(+) positive of the battery to the blue wire on the fan. Just skin a little piece back above the fan where the wires come out and make that connection. The fan should run. Does it turn with your hand? Make sure that it is not jammed with a stick or something. You may want to consider that manual switch that you are thinking about. ;D

The oil sensor creates a ground to the ECU turning the fan on and when it does the red light on the display will come on. is your fan on all the time? what modle do you have and what is the trouble you are having. I have also had 3 of theese fans apart, I may be able to help you?

it never comes on at all
unless i apply direct 12v to the fan itself.
