pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/aintchaskeered/detail?.dir=/682b&.dnm=bca9.jpgNot sure how cool a hmmv(hummer) is but i thought maybe it would be a good story. I dont think this is classified info since it's over, hope not anyway..lol We were on a mission setting up observation points (op's) along a road over watching a bridge. we have been having problems with ambushes there so we were trying to catch em. We had snipers and everything out there hopin someone would slip up. My squad was set up as a type of Quick Reaction Force (QRF) and we were hiding out behind some buildings incase anything happened we could bust out and do what we had to do. It gets pretty hot over here so we were trying to stay in the shade to keep cool. The gunners had stay on the truck so we had to move the trucks to the shaded spots where we could find them. My truck was parked close to the house we were behind so it was the last one to start getting in the shade, everyone else had already takin what little there was from the trees there, so we had to go back in what i believe was their garden. They had these little trenches dug (about 1'x1') so that they could water whatever they grew in there and we were gonna have to drive through one so that we could park in the shade. We were supposed to get in between the little trenches but when we were gasin through the first one we slipped off in another one and ended up with all 4 wheels in the trenches. From all the water that was in there the ground quicky turned soft and turned into a problem for us, the uparmored hmmv's are heavy and it sank in the mud. But after we stuck some rocks up under the tires and a little forward and reverse action we finally worked our way out. It was pretty fun, all i could think of was they can take me away from my foreman but they cant keep me out of the mud..lol
