I MADE SOME SLIGHT CHANGES WHERE I HAD MY SPLICES , ON THE FAN SWITCH I FOUND THE FAN CONNECTOR AT THE FRONT OF THE GAS TANK INSIDE THE FRONT FENDER (BLUE WIRE) AND SOLDER SPLICED THERE .
ON THE START IN GEAR SWITCH THERE IS A CONNECTOR INSIDE THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REAR FENDER FOR THE NEUTRAL / REVERSE SWITCH I SOLDER SPLICED THERE (LIGHT GREEN/RED),FOR START IN GEAR
ON THE OTHER WIRE(GREY) I SOLDER SPLICED FOR MY BACK UP LIGHT (LIGHT COMES ON WHEN YOU PUT IN REVERSE).
I SOLDER SPLICED BECAUSE I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH SCOTCH LOCK IN THE PAST AND DON'T TRUST THEM .
IF YOU NEED HELP FEEL FREE TO SEND ME A MESSAGE AND I'LL HELP YOU OUT.

Hey Flipstick, Been wanting to wire my fan for a long time, and the start in gear switch, and reverse light sounds great too! Are there somewhere I can find the schematic, or print for these projects? I'm a old retired coalminer, and have plenty of time for new projects....By the way I have a 1999 450ES, and love it.

Are you guys talking about wiring a reverse light or where when you shift into reverse the back lights come on? I have done the start in gear, fan switch, and reverse overide and love them all. Glad I took the time to put them on.

CYPRESS KNEE - I'M TALKING ABOUT ADDING A CLEAR LIGHT IN THE BACK THAT IS WIRED UP SO WHEN YOU PUT QUAD IN REVERSE THE LIGHT COMES ON. NEED SOME INFO ON REVERSE OVERRIDE THOUGH
WEST VIRGINIA GRIZZ- DON'T HAVE DIAGRAM , I JUST FOUND THE CONNECTOR IN HONDA SERVICE MANUAL WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THE REVERSE/NEUTRAL SWITCH.

Well what I am callin the reverse overide is a mod. that allows you to shift from neutral to reverse without having to push the red button and pull the brake. There are two ways of doing this. 1. look where the red button is on the brake and pull the rubber flap back so you can see. You should be able to see that when you push the red button and pull the brake lever that it is pulling back another cable underneath the brake. The way to do it is to simply put a screw or something small inbetween the crack on the reverse lever which will keep the cable pulled at all times. 2. The other way, which is the way I did it, is to drop the skid plate. Then look on the right side, on the bottom of the tranny, behind the rear foot brake. There is a cable connected to a lever going into the tranny. Right there you have to pull the lever and zip tie it in the pulled position. I know people that have had this mod. for two years and nothing bad has happened. Now if you are the type that sometimes comes around a turn shifting like theres a fire behind you and sometimes acidentally shifts into nuetral, this mod isn't for you. Because if you have this mod. it will throw you inreverse and trash your tranny. Now the not so good but safer way to do it is to super glue the red button down so all you have to do is pull the brake. Hope you guys can understand this, if not, get back with me on here, or highlifter My name is the same on both. Just let me know what the problem is if you have one. I am not responsible for anything that happens to anyones bikes with this mod. Good luck with it and hope all goes well.
