Sounds like great advice. Where would I get a service manual? Could I locate all of the electrical connections with one?

You should be able to get them at your local dealer but if they dont sell them i know dennis kirk does. There is either a Clymer manual or the Honda manual. I heard out of those two get the Honda one and yes it should tell you all you need to know. Ethan

weevil, The service manual (at last check) was going for 60(ish) at the dealer, and 40(ish) on the internet, BUT there was twenty bucks worth of shipping and handling. One of the few times I'd say your dealer parts counter is the best solution even if you aren't in a rush.
Ezrider, No the Foreman is still here. Probably not leaving for a while. The only reason the "450s" is in my name other places is because someone was already using "Jake" at the Highlifter forum when I signed on. (Actually not using it. They hogged the name for three years and made only one post). That followed me to ATVTime because that's how MTB knew me when he needed to recruit help in a big hurry. I used "Incognito" for a long time, but it's taken everywhere you go now. I guess it doesn't matter too much, since anyone who ever pays attention to my ramblings figures out who I am quick enough.

I see....... well it by the time I read the second post I realized it was you due to the detail or depth that you take to explain how something is done. Oh the grease fitting on the rear brake cam shaft is still doing fine on my 450, however I keep wondering if I may find the backing plate in 2 pecies one of theese days? Ez
