I noticed a power loss with 27" so i think 28"- 29.5" are out of the question unless you have major engine modifications ( Big Bore ,Cam ,etc..)but that's just my opinion .

FlipStick, Actually from the people I have talked to about Outlaws, the 29.5" weigh less than the 28" from what they said. So wouldn't that mean that the 29.5" Outlaws would take less power away than than when running 28" Outlaws? Just thought I would add this in. The 29.5s way less, but you are also having to use more power to turn the larger diameter tire too. You know, increase in hieght, change in gear ratios and all that. The weight is not much difference though. Highlifter says it weighs less than some competitors 28" tires. The Outlaws in 28x12.50x12 weighs 38.7lbs according to HL. I cant find any weights listed anywhere for the 29.5s.

Its been awhile since I been here, but I would like to say I didnt vote for any of the above. I just came from Marengo last weekend and if there is a place to see tires hard at work that was the place. Just for starters dont underestimate the 589m/s I was very impressed and so were alot of others that had them and observers. I had doubts but they actually did very well. And for those that were there all tires balled over unless you find a very short opening in the woods an gun your machine to try to sling off a couple of hundred pounds, problem was is that in the next couple of feet your buried again. Tris/Laws/Zillas/Gators/Bugs/Vamps they were represented with 3900 four wheelers everyone was represented, lol. My feelings are this, what type of mud do you have? 589's/Vamps/Zillas will be looking for a bottom, Laws/Bugs/Tris tend to not dig as bad and dare I say float...if there is no bottom. Even though I saw everyone get stuck with all tires down at Marengo I recommend the Vamps EDL's esp if your going to 28's. The thing is all the tires you mentioned are awesome even the ones your replacing, it's a cosmetic thing if your not sure what type of mud you have. The safest bet I would go with is Laws, but man do they ride rough, but dang can they go through some mud, Zillas will ride better but will try to find a bottom as will Vamps. A secret I found at Marengo for those that had tires that really dig, use slow steady throttle, watch someone hit a hole and use WOT and you would watch the mud go from top of tire to fender level in about 2 seconds. I'll keep watching and see what you choose but hey, thats half the fun...anticipation!
I actually voted for other. I vote for Vamps 28x10x12 EDL's or any size after what I witnessed.
