I think the forman looks kinda wimpy. The old style had more of a tough look to it
The upgrade in power is nice, but they still souldn't come up to a full cc size.....they like to do that and Idon't know why

They all look the same now. I guess that was the goal since all other manufacturers bikes look the same also. I liked the square front end of the older styles because they could be used for pushing other bikes. Looks like you may need to put a bumper on the front of this one.It may also not fit in the back of a pickup truck now. It may hit the back glass and knock it out. Trailering may be mandatory now. I carry my bike with mods in the back of my truck with the tailgate closed. On the up side, its 475cc and has a little more power. ;D

Its a bit more sporty looking to me, the power part would be good, they need a touch bit more power in second, the front end does not look like it will take much to bend something, but than again neither will alot of other 4wheelers, I would like to ride it and see how it feels.

I agree. If I get any Foreman it will be the old 04 model Foreman.

Hello all, New Guy here. I dont have a 4wheeler yet, just got back from Italy (2yrs). But I have to say that I will be getting an 04 "S" model. I think a working machine should look as such and the 05's have gone a little too sporty looking for me. And also due to the lack of updates I feel that may have had an impact also. The prices for an 04 "S" have been pretty good lately.

Well, lastnight I was trying to go to sleep but I kept thinking about my previous post and how I tend to insert foot into mouth. I'm a diehard Toyota man but when the new Dodge truck came out years ago I was the first one to say: yuck. I would like to say that I do like this years model but I still like the 04 as well and when crunch time comes to make the purchase I feel I may be eating my words from the post above.....mmmm anyone have any salt?
On another note, whats up with the 05 Foreman S and no headlight on the handelbars? That is one of the options that I wanted and a Foreman had.

Tufelhundin, The 2005' Foreman's do have a 3rd light located on the handlebars. Its just that like the rest of the quad-They screwed it up to and so with the new "Sporty" look they smoothed it over and gave it a more rolled back-fit in look. Like the 3rd light on a Sportsman or a Vinson. The new, Also screwed up, 2wd Foreman, though, doesnt have a 3rd light. Why they decided since it's not 4wd it should have one less light-I really couldnt tell you-But then i couldnt tell you why they introduced a "500" cc 2 wheel drive either.
So far as the new styling in General, In case you cant tell already-I Really... Really.. Despise it. Other than new engine, I think they completely ruined the Foremans. When Honda introduced the Rincon, I could except its hideouseness. Because it was a new quad, and it couldnt help how it looked-Like an Ugly Baby. But changing the looks of the Foreman? Thats like a beautiful woman getting plastic surgery because she wants to look like John Kerry. It made me mad enough when they completely redesigned the Ranchers-Which I hated too. Now their redesigning the Foremans, Rubicons, and Recons?? Like previousely stated. From a distance you cant even tell if someone is driving a Recon or a Rincon anymore. Its crazy, And stupid. I wish they had just kept what worked instead of going crazy with all this.

Thanks for the input RedSkull. Now, tell us how you really feel ! Actually talking to a dealer about a yellow 450s "04" this week, hopefully I can become a true member here soon. Deer season is going to be over by the time I get it, if I dont hurry up. Guess that is what I get for living in Italy for almost 3 years...get your mind on other things and forget the important things like deer hunting and such. Semper Fi

I drove one thursday at our dealership. had a noticable power increase but the styling of the bike to me sux. plastic everything and the two tone bumpers look like a kawasuckie. the head light looks like a polaris and the boot guards are virtually nonexistant. it does tho have front disc brakes. all skid plates are plastic. the 05 foremans will have 5 models es4x4 s4x4 ex2x4 s2x4 and automatic. honda really overdid themselves this time

I personally do not like the 05 Hondas cause of the look. the Rincon was the only one with that plastic and needs to stay that way. I loved the Rancher look, and the Recon, but I dont like the Rincon looks and bumpers on them, out with the new and in with the old!

So it seems like I'm not the only one who would be quicker to give the new bikes a fair shake if they still looked tougher.
They're not bad enough that I wouldn't ride one if it still worked all right, but not good enough that I'm gonna look too carefully until they do get some miles, and an actual track record.
